The Post-Covid conundrum
Post-Covid, is often described as Long Covid, but what is it? Well, Post-Covid is the common term used to describe signs and symptoms that last for longer than four weeks after getting Covid-19. The statistics on the prevalence of Post-Covid are continuing to evolve, with the Office of National Statistics estimating that 1.3 million people in the UK were experiencing self-reported Long COVID at the end of December 2021.
As the number reporting Post-Covid may increase, it’s likely to have a significant impact on businesses of all sizes, as with the many thousands of people who are likely to suffer with long-term symptoms affecting their ability to work. We’re providing support and guidance around the topic of Post-Covid. Making sure you have access to our well-considered information.

Recovery from Post-Covid can take time. For employers managing employees with Post- Covid, it can be difficult to find the right support or signposting for employees and it can also be hard for family and friends to know what to do. We've spoken to two employees who have suffered with the affects of Post-Covid. They told us about what helped them to recover, from the support they recieved, their own strategies that helped them cope, to the importance of time and space to rest and recover.
